Excellent morning in the garden. Did some (drastic, at times) pruning of the fig trees, and it felt great. I think I did a good job of defining their future structure. Some of them seemed like they had way too much foliage above than the roots could support. I mean, some of the leaves were larger than the height of the tree.. haha.
I also gave them all a dash of the slow-release fertilizer. Even the in-ground figs.
I've been doing a lot of pruning lately. It's one of my favorite tasks.
A couple TODOs:
- Take cutting from Smith
- Add tags to the container figs (the tape labels are starting to fade)
