High: 76.0
Low: 55.0
Mostly sunny
Observations
- Root on the Dr. Gowaty figpop
- Took a nice slow walk around the orchard this morning and get up close and personal with some plants. Trying to understand their lifecycle better.
Tasks
- Put some leaf mulch on a few of the orchard plants. It was the end of the day and I was tired so I quit early.
- Watered the beds, asparagus, and peas.
- Cut off the dead leaves on the plants in the greenhouse using scissors. I figured that there is no way they could come back to life, so why not just cut them off and send any energy elsewhere.
Ideas
- Saw this video on a solution for mosquitos. I will try it out this year.
- There are some plants in the front yard that I want to replace with some of the extra persimmon, pawpaw and/or serviceberries. I'll do this on Wednesday.
- Violette de Bordeaux fig
- Chicago Hardy fig
- Empty holes (2)
- TODO: Prepare the three holes for the pawpaws that should arrive on Wednesday
- TODO: Get more composted soil

The front yard doesn't get enough love. It's beautiful around sunset time. |
