High: 76.4
Low: 55.7
0.38 inches of rain in the early morning

Observations
  • Goumi berries starting to flower. The fragrance is subtle right now, but very nice.
  • Edamame seedlings are starting to sprout! They just needed some warmer soil temperature, that's all
Tasks
  • Integrated the weather station with wunderground and weathercloud so I can keep an eye on things if I am not here. I need to figure out how to get the indoor sensor working. It would be good to put that in the greenhouse. The Sensorpush sensors were way off.
  • Planted all of the potatoes. I put 1lb of each kind in a 20g fabric container. I cut some of the larger potatoes into pieces. I used pure compost from Weaverville and Leicester because that is what I had. I also mixed in some slow-release fertilizer (Miracle Grow, organic veggie mix) and a dash of potash.
  • Transplanted the boxwood bush from the fire pit to the shaded area off of the front deck. In the midst of the process, I unearth 25 square pavers that can be used for something cool.
  • Planted some things on the front bank: three elderberries, a vernal witch hazel and a highbush cranberry viburnum
  • Separated out some of the plants for everyone plants into separate tree pots.
  • Watered the beds
Ideas
  • Cleanup tomorrow
