Today I worked on what I think will become a sweet potato patch. I flattened out the dirt pile some more and then added about 8 loads of semi-decomposed wood chips on top to cover it. Soil doesn't like to be uncovered. I reached out to Mark and he said that it looked like good soil and I could grow pretty much anything in it. He suggested sweet potatoes and I thought that was a good idea. I don't have a plan on acquiring slips yet, but I'm sure we'll get some when it comes to planting time, which is in May.

I put some greenhouse plastic over the two uncovered raised beds, so now all four are covered (two with plastic and two with Agribon row cover). I think the plastic-covered ones will allow us to get a head start with cold crops. We should be able to plant them soon. I need to measure the soil temperature because if it's above 40F then there is a lot we can start growing.

I got some lumber with Hayley at Lowe's and plan to build some shelving for the greenhouse.

We went to Belle Decor and got inspired to start a business and change our lifestyle :)
