2023-05-14: Mother's Day
Sunday, May 14, 2023 High: 80.4 Low: 57.9 Mostly Sunny Weed whacked the firepit area, edges of the lawn, and the west side of the fence (kudzu and whatnot) Watered the figs, peas, beds, raspberries Noticed the groundcherry seeds are starting to sprout Went hiking at black balsam Cut some flowers from the yard and made a bouquet for mom Pulled out the broccoli plants from the covered raised bed. They were getting too big, and I think they bolted because it was too hot. I should have started these much earlier. I don't think they like getting above 75 degrees, and with that plastic cover it was just too much heat. Whacked A lovely sight Paradiso Bronze Trillium (??) I saw on the hike Pulled out the broccoli (bolted) Freshly watered Path looking solid Shrubby St John's starting to bloom Itemized list from Painters yesterday art loeb trail (black balsam)
